1. Hull & Deck: scratches, gouges, cracks
2. Rigging:
-- Back stay neutral when docked and never beyond max point underway
-- Broken wires (“fish hooks”)
-- Frayed lines
-- Damaged or loose shackles and points of attachment (e.g. pad eyes, bails, blocks)
3. Sails
-- Rips; loose seams; leach and foot tension lines
-- Main sail: Damaged slides, broken battens
-- Catalina 22 Hanked on jib: Corroded hanks, missing hanks
-- Capri 22 Roller furler jib: Hardware damage, sail attachment points
-- If spinnaker and/or spinnaker lines are found drying in boat, place in turtle-bag and store in dock box
4. On-Board Equipment (PFD’s, compass, tool box, pump, bucket, daylight signaling devices, paddle, anchor & rode, fog horn, tow/dock line, battery connection and switch positions.
5. Bilge, bilge pump, thru-hull for cockpit drain (if applicable), covers, docking lines (box, stern, spring), fender position.
